The black stallion

A beautiful horse.
A magnificient one!

I am not talking about the movie
The book or the series.

Just about a beautiful horse.

My youth was filled with a poster
And gues…?

Yes, a black stallion on a hill,
Against a blue sky,
His manes waving in the Wind.

I have tried to find that poster.
In vain…
it was lost with the many moves of my life.

But the image was such a powerful picture.
It is imprinted in my memory forever.

They call the Wind Mariah!

  2. What a magnificent animal.  I just love horses, they are so majestic and noble creatures that love to serve humans.

I can only imagine that horse on the hill against the blue sky.  With authority, standing there, waiting perhaps?

Beautiful.  Just beautiful.  I bet that memory is indeed imprinted in your brain forever

  4. Great picture of black stallion out there and a nice poem too! Yes, I agree it looks magnificent. I like horses, but I don’t have one. I’m just in awe of this animal of how it looks and what it can do. Also, it looks royal and splendid. My eldest sister is a horse fanatic and she has many figurines and some pictures of horses. Thanks for this good post! 😊

    All the best,
    Lanie

  5. This is a wonderful poem or article on the black stallion. It is really an insightful poem that reflect an image of our memories of old days which we may not be able to relive again but will always be with us as a memory. I grew up with my younger sis full of life and dreams but some years ago she died, I can’t relive the old good times again but I will live with her in my memory…the black stallion.

    1. Yes… So true.

Living in our memories, and cherished indeed.

And still alive when we close our eyes…

As if we can touch them!

The soul of all living beings, plant, animal or men…

      Thank you for sharing.

      Heartfelt.

  6. THERE is no doubt about it the BLACK STALLION is  a beautiful horse, a magnificient one! I love horses too growing up in the middle East. STALLION are common in the Asia and middle East so I grow up loving them. They are less common in Europe and America so I have lost flames about this wonderful creature. I wish to own one in the future. Is owning a STALLION possible in USA? Any legal work requires? Thanks for sharing.

    1. Yes! Indeed… The pride of families and tribes… As for owning horses in the USA, each state has its own specifications when it comes to breeding horses… Better check with the local authorities.

Let the flame live in your memory… And ignite a new future

      Thank you for your insights

  7. Hi there

This is just an emotional post for me. This post made me feel nostalgic about my childhood. My dad used to have a black beautiful horse. But It was shot my the buglers that came to rob my poor, old dad at his home. But the way you were describing your Black Stallion shows it is very loving horse

    1. Yes… So sad for your dad…. So very sad.
And I can still feel his sorrow.

Cheating and stealing is a terrible plague indeed.
And when organized by governments, it is even more terrible.

      Stay blessed

  8. What a beautiful poem. I can see that you must really like horses or you probably grew up with the horses. I am jealous, I grew up in the city so I didn’t really get the chance to be in touch with the animals or nature. I agree the black stallion is so beautiful especially the one on your picture, It is very majestic. Is the black stallion your horse? If not do you own a horse? Can’t wait to read more of your poem 😀

    1. Thank you…
Yes, living close to nature is a unique experience indeed.
And horses are just part of it.

No, I never owned horses. My grandparents did…
      Thank you for asking

      Have a wonderful day
